Stories of Silence, Goa Garba, Bali
Hidden among the greenery of Gianyar is a place where stone and forest seem to have grown together.
Goa Garba is a historic site associated with Bali’s ancient past, set into a natural landscape where old stone structures and carvings are surrounded by dense vegetation. Its secluded character gives the place a feeling quite unlike Bali’s grand, open temple complexes.
The architecture in this painting appears almost discovered rather than built — an old stone entrance standing quietly among trees, moss, and foliage.
The original watercolor artwork is currently exhibited at Kencana Gallery at GWK, Bali and is available for purchase through both Kencana Gallery and the Lunari website.
